So what's new?
New site on the horizon
18th August 2010
We nailed it. After more than three years since the launch of this current site and after two failed attempts to redesign it in the last year, we've finally got a design for the next version of our website. The build of it is booked in already so watch this space - it might look completely different the next time you pay us a visit!

Exciting new micro-site in for Technology Strategy Board
16th May 2010
We've just won the job to produce the 2010 Annual review micro-site for the Technology Strategy Board. It's a really exciting project that highlights and showcases some of the work they've done over the last year. And from the initial concepts we've got going around, we can tell it's going to be a cracker! The Technology Strategy Board is an advisor to the government and works to build and accelerate technological innovation in the UK.
Internal project: online mountain-biking magazine
4th March 2010
Pixillion's Senior Designer Gary Lake just launched "Cyclist No.1", a not-for-profit, online, mountain-biking magazine. We have supported Gary's project from the start as a sponsor-in-kind. Designed and built by Gary in-house, and using the very same processes and technology we use for all our clients at Pixillion - Cyclist No.1 was an opportunity to develop a real showcase of what we can do with our CMS, particularly in terms of managing masses of content, propagating it around the site, and also being very search engine optimised. Check it out at www.cyclistno1.co.uk
2010, looking good!
18th February 2010
We're off to a great start this year winning numerous exciting projects. We are also seeing digital strategies that we have implemented for our clients over the last year are starting to pay dividends! Fingers crossed, but it looks like our hard work, combined with signs of economic recovery, are paying off already for 2010!
Tweet tweet!
1st February 2010
In 2009 we started using Twitter to raise our visibility and to build awareness of our brand. But also to interact more closely with our customers and the community in general. It's a great way of finding new resources and links to interesting articles and it keeps us up to date with what's going on in the world. It's "bite-sized" but always a good intro to in-depth articles and posts - it's like a sushi-belt for the information highway! We can get instant answers to questions we may have and instant feedback on projects we've just launched. We've also seen that it generates traffic to our site because people want to know about us after they've read our tweets. We love it, and we find that more and more of our clients are starting to use it on their own sites too. Get in touch if you want to know more about how social media can help your online projects. You can follow us on Twitter for Pixillion-related updates: Point your browser to www.twitter.com/pixilliondigi. Can't believe it's 10 years ago already that we started out producing e-cards for Hallmark Cards Benelux in our home office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. That was the start of it all and what an amazing decade it has been! Going through various ups and downs, moving from Holland to Portugal to the UK where we built a team of 9 and are now working for a range of national and international clients throughout all aspects of digital design. Time for a celebration!

Fantastic new commissions
29th July 2009
We've just netted two more fantastic new jobs for the coming months. First one is a feature-rich website for Explore At-Bristol. Explore-At-Bristol is one of the UK's most exciting hands-on science centres full of interactive exhibits and special exhibitions, a Planetarium show and a Live science team for fun experiments and activities. We're also pleased to announce that we'll be producing a website plus database integration for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (with Tijuana through our 70One collective). Opened by Laurence Olivier in 1946, the School is an Industry-led vocational training establishment preparing students for careers in acting, stage management, television production, costume, design and more. Excellent jobs!
Change Your World
19th June 2009
Traffic Jams, parking tickets, pushing the planet ever closer to environmental collapse, cars are becoming less viable for both people and the planet. That's why we've teamed up with Tijuana, part of 70One, to help create changeyourworld.org.uk. Organised by Sustrans, Change Your World is a campaign aimed at getting people to drop a single car journey and walk, cycle, use public transport or car-share instead. Running between the 29th June and 4th July 2009, the campaign is also putting everyone who signs up into a prize draw for a luxury autumn break at Bluestone, Pembrokeshire (as if improving your health, saving the planet and avoiding hot-day-seatbelt-burn wasn't reward enough). www.changeyourworld.org.uk
